DACOF Team Building: New Process for 2025, Competition Level Eligibility / Title Cross Reference, & Title Cut-off Date

 

Hello DACOF Membership!

Now that Rosters have been submitted, the next step in the DACOF process is building Teams from the Rosters!

 

And for 2025, to make the Team Entry process simpler and more streamlined, there is an ENTIRELY NEW PROCESS for submitting the Team Entries! Our DACOF Treasurer, Jen Young, has dedicated significant time and effort to create an entirely digital/electronic process for submitting Team Entries in 2025!

 

After receiving comments/concerns/complaints over the past few years about the Team Entry Process, we know this new process, although different, will make everyone’s lives easier! Additionally, Team Organizers/Captains will be able to “log in” to their entry to see what items may still be outstanding to complete the Team Entry.

 

Again, the entire process in 2025 will occur digitally, including submitting the Electronic Signature Agreement Form (Liability Waiver), Electronic Payment (which must be a SINGLE payment in 2025 – NOT individual checks/payments from Team Members) and the actual Team(s) Entry Form.

 

Entry Fees in 2025 are $150 per dog, inclusive of the $25 DACOF Member Fee.

Early Bird Discounts are:

The Super Early Bird Discount is $15 per dog only if COMPLETE entries (Including all signed Electronic Agreement Forms and Single Electronic Payment) are received by April 11, 2025

Or

The Regular Early Bird Discount is $10 per dog if COMPLETE entries (Including all signed Electronic Agreement Forms and Single Electronic Payment) are received by April 25, 2025

 

The Trial Entry Deadline in 2025 will be 5/23/2025.

 

And once again, to qualify for Early Bird Discounts COMPLETE Entries including a SINGLE PAYMENT for the Organization (preferably electronic), Electronic Signature Agreement Forms from ALL TEAM MEMEBRS, and the Team Entry Form(s) MUST be received by the Early Bird Deadlines. Any Organizations wishing to send a SINGLE PAYMENT CHECK instead of making Electronic Payment will need to contact our Treasurer, Jen Young to inform her, and the payment MUST still arrive to Jen before the respective Early Bird Deadline!

 

So, Team Organizers/Captains will want to collect funds from their Teammates early enough that they will be able to make the SINGLE PAYMENT on behalf of their Team(s) by the Early Bird Deadline!

 

Please remember, if elective changes are made at the request of the Team/Handler after the discount period(s) - other than to correct possible Trial Secretary entry errors - then the regular entry fee will apply to Members of that ENTIRE TEAM, and additional payment will need to accompany any elective change before the Trial Secretary processes the change.

 

Team Organizers/Captains were given instructions for the next step of the Team Entry Process and a link to the Electronic Signature Agreement Form.

 

The Team Building Process will now commence, from the Rosters that were submitted.

 

An important part of building Teams is knowing the proper DACOF Competition Level for our dogs! The dacof.com web site has a page explaining eligibility for DACOF Level Novice, DACOF Level Open and DACOF Level Excellent. The page also provides a cross reference for dogs that compete in venues other than AKC.

Additionally, DACOF Level Eligibility shall be determined AFTER the Title Cut-off Date, March 24, 2025.

 

If Team Organizers/Captains have any questions on how to fill out and complete the electronic/digital team entry process, please feel free to reach out to Jen Young or Bill Becker for help.  Once Team Entries are fully edited, done and complete (verifying ALL Team Members have submitted their Electronic Signature Agreement Forms), Team Organizers/Captains will follow the directions on the "submittal page" tab.  Please make sure to complete the "submittal page" by the outlined deadlines to receive any of the early bird discounts.

 

Once Team Organizers/Captains electronically/digitally submit their team(s) entry, an Invoice for Electronic Payment will be sent to the Team Organizer/Captain via email to the email address provided by the Team Organizer/Captain. The Invoice must be paid electronically, and immediately, to receive the Early Bird Discount.
